To start things off right, I am working on my "DREAM". It's the same dream each of you have had at one time or another. To own your own sailboat and sail off into the sunset without a care in the world. All your bills are paid and you have saved buckets of cash for this day.You buy the perfect boat (probably too big), pour in your first bucket of cash just to make it sea worthy and move your entire family aboard, along with yours and your neighbors pets. Your dream has become a reality. But there's much more than just moving aboard.
Next you gotta get rid of some of that family and all those extra pets. I don't mean to imply that you divorce your spouse. Just put the kids in college, send the Aunts and Uncles home, weed out the neighbors pets and settle down to a new life of adventure and leisure. Did I say leisure??? Remember, someone has to do a little work here. And someone has to tend to the money buckets.
But, as of this writing, it's worth it all to live your dream.You will find many interesting stories here about "moving aboard". Your will get a clearly painted picture of the in's and out's of sailing and cruising your own boat. It's not easy, but it's not hard!!!
You will find yourself out at sea along with some of the best sailors in the world and some that have never sailed before. You will feel the crashing of the waves in a force 8 storm and the boredome of no wind at all. You will experience first hand the sailing adventure of making port in a country you only read about in some magazine somewhere.
So sailors, LIVE YOUR DREAM!!!

Mark Rosensteins Sailing Page This is the "big daddy" of all sailing sites. Everything you ever wanted to know about sailboats. You will need a pot of coffee on this one. Plan on a week or two here.
Texas Mariners Cruising Association Wonderful site. Lots of links to some of the best sailing sites on the net. You don't have to be a Texan to enjoy this site.
